Are you an experienced Technology or Data Protection lawyer looking to take the next step in your career? We’re supporting a leading national law firm with an ambitious growth strategy as they seek to appoint an Associate to join their Commercial, Technology & Data team.

This is a chance to work within a high‑performing, collaborative practice recognised for advising innovative businesses and household names on cutting-edge commercial, tech and data matters.

The Opportunity
You’ll join a supportive and forward‑thinking team, working on complex and high‑profile projects involving:

  • Advising tech suppliers, scale‑ups and high‑growth businesses on product launches, AI deployment and SaaS arrangements.
  • Negotiating complex technology contracts across cloud services, outsourcing, software licensing and wider digital transformation projects.
  • Guiding clients through data protection and cybersecurity matters, including compliance audits, DPIAs, data processing arrangements, international transfers and data breach preparedness.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives around the commercial use and optimisation of data.
  • Assisting corporate and private equity teams on the commercial and data elements of major transactions.

About You
You will:

  • Be a qualified solicitor with c.2-5 years’ PQE in commercial, tech or data protection work.
  • Have a confident, pragmatic client approach and an interest in emerging technologies.
  • Communicate clearly and build trusted relationships with both colleagues and clients.
  • Enjoy contributing to business development and developing your professional profile.
  • Thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment built on innovation and shared ambition.
