A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced contentious construction lawyer to join its expanding Construction team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high‑value, complex disputes arising from major UK and international projects across the energy, infrastructure and built‑environment sectors.

In this role, you will advise a broad mix of public and private sector clients, including developers, funders, contractors, consultants and corporate occupiers. Work will span the full range of dispute resolution forums, including High Court litigation, arbitration (ICC, LCIA, LMAA), adjudication, mediation and negotiation. You will also support clients with risk management and dispute avoidance strategies throughout the lifecycle of construction and engineering projects.

Experience with JCT and NEC contracts, building safety issues, and PFI/PPP arrangements will be advantageous. The team regularly advises on renewables, large‑scale development, logistics, offshore wind and other complex infrastructure schemes, offering varied and engaging work.

We are looking for:

  • A qualified lawyer with strong contentious construction experience
  • A track record of managing complex disputes and building strong client relationships
  • Clear, commercial thinking and confidence working in a collaborative team
  • An interest in major projects and the sectors that shape them
