Commercial Technology & Media Managing Associate (ref:1097)

We’re delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing, ambitious law firm that is looking to appoint a Commercial Technology & Media Managing Associate to join its highly regarded Commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer who enjoys working at the forefront of technological innovation and advising household-name and high-growth businesses on complex commercial matters. The team acts for clients across a range of sectors, including technology, fintech, clean tech, retail and media, providing strategic, commercially focused advice on some of the most innovative projects in the market.

You’ll play a key role in advising clients on a broad range of commercial, technology and data-related matters, while also supporting the continued growth of the practice. Working alongside leading specialists across the firm, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of major client relationships and lead high-profile, international projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts across the FinTech, CleanTech and Retail Tech sectors, including projects involving AI, blockchain and drone technology
• Advising businesses on innovative marketing, advertising, loyalty and consumer promotion campaigns
• Leading on complex data protection matters, including GDPR compliance projects, data protection audits, international data transfers and DPIAs
• Working closely with the Corporate team on technology, commercial and data protection aspects of M&A transactions
• Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser on strategic commercial issues
• Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, supporting their development and helping to build a collaborative team culture
