An exciting opportunity for a Dispute Resolution Lawyer to join a growing and forward-thinking law firm in Plymouth. This is a broad and varied litigation role, offering the opportunity to take responsibility for your own caseload, work closely with clients and become an integral part of an ambitious Dispute Resolution team.

The Dispute Resolution team is growing, creating an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who wants to play an active role in the development of both their own career and the wider team.
About the role
You will handle a varied caseload of privately funded litigation for both individuals and organisations. Matters will include a broad range of commercial and civil disputes, potentially including:
- Company, partnership and shareholder disputes
- Director disputes
- Professional negligence claims
- Landlord and tenant disputes
- Franchise disputes
- Contractual claims
You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your own matters while benefiting from the support of an experienced and collaborative team. The role also offers scope to become more involved in business development, developing professional relationships, strengthening your own profile and contributing to the continued growth of the department.
About you
The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with solid litigation experience and the confidence to manage a busy caseload.
You will ideally be someone who is:
- Commercially minded and client-focused
- Proactive, organised and able to take ownership
- An excellent communicator
- Comfortable developing professional relationships
- Ambitious and motivated to progress your career
- A strong team player who knows when to seek support
- Interested in contributing to business development as well as delivering excellent legal work
