Are you a project finance lawyer looking to take your career to the next level in one of the UK’s most dynamic and fast-growing sectors?
We’re working with a highly regarded national law firm that is looking to add a Project Finance Associate. This is a brilliant opportunity to work on the financing of energy transition and infrastructure projects that are shaping the future economy, while building your own specialism alongside market-leading clients and recognised experts.
The team
The team advises lenders, sponsors, developers, investors and public sector bodies on complex financings across the energy and infrastructure spectrum. They work closely with corporate, real estate, construction, planning and regulatory colleagues to deliver seamless, commercially focused advice. Sectors include:
- Solar, wind and battery energy storage (BESS)
- Energy from waste
- Hydrogen and other sustainable fuels
- Sustainable transport
- Data centres
- Defence and strategic infrastructure
The role
You’ll play a key part in complex, high-profile transactions, including:
- Project financings
- Acquisition and asset financings
- Refinancings of operational projects
- Portfolio and fund financings
- Cross-border energy and infrastructure projects
You’ll have direct client exposure from the outset, working with lenders, sponsors, investors and developers on strategic projects in the UK and internationally.
About you
- 3-6 years’ PQE gained in project finance
- Experience acting for lenders and/or borrowers
- Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills
- Commercially minded, with a genuine interest in energy transition and/or infrastructure
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative, proactive approach
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales or Scotland
