Our leading national law firm client is seeking an experienced Real Estate Lawyer to join its highly regarded Residential Development team in Plymouth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior lawyer looking to take on a prominent role within one of the UK’s most respected residential development practices. The team advises many of the country’s leading housebuilders, developers, investors and public sector organisations on complex and strategically significant projects across the UK.
The Team
The firm’s Real Estate practice is one of the largest and most established in the market, bringing together a substantial team of specialists across multiple offices nationwide.
Its Residential Development team is recognised as a market leader, advising a broad client base that includes national and regional housebuilders, mixed-use developers, institutional investors, local authorities, registered providers and organisations involved in regeneration and affordable housing projects.
Known for combining technical excellence with commercial insight, the team has built a strong reputation for delivering practical solutions on complex development projects and maintaining long-standing relationships with key players across the sector.
About You
Applications are welcomed from experienced Real Estate lawyers with significant exposure to residential development work.
You are likely to be able to demonstrate:
- At least 6 years’ post-qualification experience within a recognised Real Estate practice
- Strong technical expertise in residential development transactions
- Experience advising developers, housebuilders, investors or public sector organisations
- A thorough understanding of land acquisition, development and site assembly matters
- Experience managing estate set-up issues and supporting large-scale development projects
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver pragmatic, client-focused advice
- Excellent relationship management and business development skills
- The ability to supervise, mentor and support the development of junior colleagues
You should feel confident managing complex matters independently while contributing positively to a collaborative and ambitious team environment.

The role also provides scope to influence the future direction of the practice through mentoring junior lawyers, supporting team growth and contributing to wider sector-focused initiatives.
