Excellent opportunity for a lawyer with regulatory or compliance experience to join the Risk & Compliance team within the Office of the General Counsel at a leading US law firm’s London office.
Acting as a key advisor to the team and firm, you will keep abreast of UK legal and regulatory developments (including the SRA Standards and Regulations), advise on and draft policy amendments, and support partners and regulated individuals with professional responsibility, ethics and disclosure queries. You will also help develop and deliver Risk & Compliance training, supervise junior team members, and work closely with the Director of Risk & Compliance on wider projects.
This would suit a qualified lawyer with 1-4 PQE, either with existing compliance team experience or a fee earner with regulatory experience looking to make their first move into Risk & Compliance. Strong drafting and analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to influence at all levels are essential.
