Are you an experienced contentious construction lawyer ready to lead, grow client relationships and progress within a top-ranked team?
We’re delighted to be supporting a leading UK law firm in the search for a Legal Director to join its highly regarded Construction & Engineering practice. You’ll focus on construction-related disputes, including litigation, adjudication and arbitration. You’ll also have real scope to develop business, lead client relationships, support senior associates and help shape the team’s continued growth.
The team
- Part of one of the UK’s largest construction practices, advising clients across energy and utilities, transport, real estate and infrastructure, both nationally and internationally
- The practice is Band 1 in Chambers and Tier 1 in Legal 500, recognised for complex, high-value work
- Following several recent hires, the contentious offering is growing, and this senior role will help drive that growth and raise the team’s market profile
- Matters include adjudication, arbitration, Technology and Construction Court litigation, mediation, expert determination and strategic project advice

What you’ll bring
- Significant experience in complex, high-value construction disputes
- A strong track record in client relationship management, business development and practice growth
- Experience in supervising, coaching and developing more junior fee earners
- Strong leadership skills and sound commercial judgement
- A collaborative, inclusive approach, and the confidence to contribute to the team’s further growth
