Are you an Employment Lawyer looking for more than just another caseload?
This is an opportunity to join an award-winning South West law firm at an exciting stage of growth and play a key role in developing its Employment Law practice.
You’ll have the autonomy to build your own client relationships, contribute to the firm’s strategic growth and help shape the future of an expanding service line, all within a supportive, collaborative environment where your ideas will be welcomed.
The Opportunity
As part of a well-established Litigation Department, you’ll work on a varied mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters while helping to develop and grow the firm’s Employment offering across Devon and Somerset.
This is a role for someone who enjoys building relationships as much as delivering excellent legal advice.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Manage a varied employment law caseload.
- Develop long-term relationships with business and individual clients.
- Play a leading role in business development and networking.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm to generate cross-referral opportunities.
- Help shape the future direction and growth of the Employment team.
- Build your profile within the local business community.
About You
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors and Chartered Legal Executives with around 3–5 years’ PQE, although more experienced lawyers are also encouraged to apply.
You’ll ideally have:
- Solid experience in Employment Law.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- A proactive and commercial mindset.
- An interest in networking and business development.
- The ability to manage your own caseload confidently.
- A collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
An existing client following would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
Why Join This Firm?
This is a firm that combines ambitious growth with a genuinely supportive culture.
Recent investment, office expansion and award-winning recognition have created exciting opportunities for lawyers looking to build long-term careers within a progressive regional practice.
The firm offers:
- A genuine opportunity to help grow an Employment practice.
- High-quality and varied work.
- Hybrid working and flexibility.
- Strong support for business development.
- Excellent career progression.
- A collaborative and friendly culture.
- Competitive salary and benefits.
If you’re looking for a role where you’ll have real influence, the freedom to develop your practice and the support to achieve your ambitions, we’d love to hear from you.
