Our client is a well-established national law firm with a strong reputation across a range of legal disciplines. The family team is highly regarded and offers a friendly, collaborative environment where individuals are encouraged to develop their expertise, build strong client relationships and progress their careers.
The Bristol team works with a varied and interesting client base, including professional clients and high net worth individuals, with particular exposure to clients with business interests and connections to the sports and agricultural sectors.
About the role
The successful candidate will join an established family team and handle a broad range of privately funded work, including:
- Financial remedy matters, including complex cases
- Private children work
- Cohabitation disputes
- Related family litigation and advisory work
There is scope to work on interesting and often complex matters, while developing strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.
The role would suit someone who enjoys high-quality technical work but also wants to be involved in the wider development of a successful family practice.
About you
We are looking for an established Family Lawyer, ideally with around 4+ years’ PQE, although relevant experience will be considered.
You will ideally have:
- Strong experience across privately funded family work
- A good grounding in family litigation and an awareness of non-court dispute resolution
- Excellent technical and drafting skills
- Strong commercial awareness and client management skills
- The ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive and forward-thinking approach
- An interest in developing professional networks and contributing to business development
You will be a confident and personable lawyer who takes pride in delivering a high-quality service and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.
