About the Role 

The firm is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join its growing Insolvency & Dispute Resolution team. This is a key role within the department, offering the opportunity to work on a broad range of matters including insolvency, debt recovery, commercial disputes, and general civil litigation. 

You will take ownership of your own caseload of more straightforward matters, while also supporting senior fee earners on more complex disputes. You will be involved in advising clients on the progression of their matters, drafting key legal documents and correspondence, preparing court bundles, and assisting with all stages of litigation through to resolution. 

You will be expected to manage matters proactively and efficiently, maintaining high standards of client care and ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met. There will also be opportunities to attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement discussions where appropriate. 

The role includes exposure to business development activities. You will be encouraged to build professional relationships, contribute to marketing initiatives, and support the continued growth of the team’s client base. 

As a senior member of the paralegal team, you may also assist with mentoring and supporting more junior colleagues, contributing to the overall effectiveness and development of the department. Career progression is actively supported, with clear pathways for further advancement. 

About You 

You will be an experienced Paralegal with a strong background in dispute resolution or litigation and may already be operating as a fee-earning paralegal with responsibility for your own files. 

You will have Dispute Resolution experience which may include areas such as insolvency, commercial litigation, civil disputes, debt recovery, property litigation, or contentious probate. 

You’ll be able to demonstrate: 

• The ability to manage your own caseload of matters with minimal supervision 
• Strong technical knowledge of litigation processes and procedures 
• Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail 
• Confidence in dealing directly with clients and other stakeholders 
• Experience supporting complex matters alongside senior lawyers 
• Some exposure to insolvency work is advantageous but not essential 
• Good commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to resolving disputes 
• An interest in business development and networking 
• Experience (or a willingness) to support and mentor junior team members 
• A proactive, organised, and team-oriented approach
