The role

You will join a well-established, close-knit employment team based in Cardiff, handling a broad and high-quality caseload for an impressive client base spanning corporates, senior executives, and organisations across a range of sectors. The role offers genuine variety, blending contentious and non-contentious work, with real scope to build your own practice and client relationships.

You can expect to be involved in:

• Advising on complex, high-value Employment Tribunal litigation, including discrimination, whistleblowing and senior exec disputes
• Strategic advice on restructurings, redundancies and TUPE
• Senior executive terminations, settlement negotiations and exits
• Day-to-day advisory work for a varied portfolio of clients
• Supporting business development and profile-building within the Cardiff market and beyond
• Supervising, mentoring and developing more junior members of the team

About you

We are looking for a senior employment solicitor who combines strong technical expertise with genuine commercial judgement and a collaborative approach. You will likely have:

• A minimum of 6 years’ PQE gained within a respected employment team
• A strong track record advising on complex employment and tribunal matters
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills, with the confidence to advise at senior and board level
• A genuine interest in developing business and raising your profile in the Cardiff and wider market
• An appetite for mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to a positive, high-performing team culture
