Our client is seeking a Real Estate Solicitor (5+ years’ PQE) to join their Legal 500-ranked Real Estate Disputes team. This is a firm whose reputation is built on genuinely bespoke, sector-savvy advice, real estate investment, development and regeneration, retail and hospitality, hotels and leisure, with a meaningful international dimension through close collaboration with colleagues across the globe. The disputes practice has picked up multiple awards in recent years, and it shows in the quality of work on offer.
What you’ll be doing:
- Handling contentious lease renewals and related court proceedings
- Advising on the interpretation and enforcement of lease obligations
- Running possession claims and related injunctive relief
- Dealing with tenant/borrower insolvency matters
- Resolving disputes around joint venture agreements, development management agreements and other property contracts
- Advising on restrictive covenants and rights of way
- Handling adverse possession and land registration disputes
- Supervising junior fee earners and playing an active role in business development
What they’re looking for:
- Strong real estate litigation experience with a real understanding of clients’ commercial drivers
- Experience managing complex matters and supervising junior team members
- Excellent technical and client communication skills
- Comfortable working independently, but genuinely collaborative as part of a team
- A proactive, commercial approach that’s responsive to client deadlines
- Ideally gained your experience at a national/international firm or City equivalent
