A leading UK Top 50 law firm in Exeter is looking to strengthen its Dispute Resolution & Litigation practice with the appointment of a Senior Associate specialising in construction disputes. The firm has an established presence across the UK and internationally, with a broad range of market-leading practices and a strong focus on delivering high-quality, commercially focused advice to its clients. About the role

The successful candidate will join the firm’s Construction Disputes team, advising clients on a range of contentious construction matters. The role will involve handling a varied caseload and working closely with clients to provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice. There will also be opportunities to work alongside colleagues across the wider firm on complex and high-value matters.

At Senior Associate level, there is scope to take a leading role on matters, develop client relationships and contribute to the continued growth and profile of the practice.

About you

We are looking for an experienced construction disputes lawyer with a strong technical background and a genuine interest in contentious construction work.

You are likely to have:

• Significant experience advising on construction disputes within a recognised construction or disputes practice.
• Strong experience of contentious construction matters and dispute resolution.
• Excellent analytical, drafting and advocacy skills.
• The ability to manage matters with a high degree of autonomy while working effectively as part of a wider team.
• A commercial and pragmatic approach to client advice.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• An interest in contributing to business development and the continued growth of the practice.

The role would suit someone who is already operating at Senior Associate level, or an experienced Associate looking for the opportunity to take the next step in their career.
